Lake Shishebogama
and the Northwoods
Up North with style!
Lake Shishebogama ("Lake of Many Bays")
Our private boat launch makes it easy for guests to bring their own boats for enjoyment on the 966
acre, 2-lake chain.  A rowboat and small canoe are also available!   We have a sandy bottom for
wading and a floating swim raft for the more adventurous or just spend time sunbathing on the
grassy lounging area.
If fishing is what you enjoy, you will appreciate our Class A fishing lake featuring musky, walleye,
bass, northern pike and plenty of panfish.
Wildlife
Loons, bald eagles, blue herons, wood ducks, mallards, beavers, etc., are frequently seen near the
lakehouse.  A canoe trip or boat ride to the state-owned island (seen at the top right of this page) is
an extra adventure!
Winter Activities
A variety of winter activities can be enjoyed while staying at Shoreview.  Popular Winter Park,
offering 75 kilometers of cross country skiing is 10 minutes away.  Or you can snowmobile right from
our lakehouse door on some of the best trails in the state.
Dining and Entertainment
Although it is hard to leave the beauty of Lake Shishebogama, you might occasionally want to
experience some of the areas dining establishments...from fine-dining to mom and pop cafes.  A
short boat or snowmobile ride will bring you to Chef Rene's Backbay Cove!
Lake of the Torches in Lac Du Flambeau offers music, comedy acts and gambling!
